Decodable Books

The books below are decodable books I wrote and illustrated during the pandemic or that I compiled from the printable decodable books I use in my classroom. Paperback editions are available on Amazon. Your support allows me to continue to create bilingual resources.

A quick note about the Spanish Alphabet Decodable Books: I use the printable books during the Kindergarten school year. The books have an order, and they start with the vowels, showing only one word that starts with a vowel in order to teach students basic skills like: point to the word, look at the picture, and identify the first letter (both by listening and looking at the first letter in the word). The following books continue to increase in difficulty as students learn the consonants and start to learn to read in Spanish using syllables and high frequency words. The books follow the order in which I teach each letter during the year. In my experience, all students should know most letter sounds by January (Middle of the Year), and should finish learning from these books in February. After that, students should be reading in levels D through H, with an average reading level E or F as a class. This happens in my classroom every year.
