Claudia Alonso Education was born from the need to have bilingual resources in the Kindergarten to Third Grade classroom.

My name is Claudia Alonso and I studied engineering in college, left the profession, and got certified as a bilingual EC-6 Teacher. I then completed my Master’s Degree in bilingual education at SMU.

In 2012, I began uploading the bilingual resources I created and used in my Bilingual Kindergarten classroom to the Teachers Pay Teachers marketplace. With experience in grades K-3, I keep identifying bilingual instructional resources that are needed in my bilingual classroom to help all student be successful.

Although I now use the art of different talented artists when creating my resources, I enjoy drawing and creating digital art too. During the pandemic, I wrote and illustrated several children’s books. I continue to create bilingual resources and publishing books in Spanish when I can because I know there aren’t enough books in Spanish in classroom libraries, school libraries, and public libraries.

One of my most popular resources in the TpT Marketplace are my fluency pages, and my printable books, which can be used for:

* guided reading

* whole group instruction

* independent reading

* fluency and comprehension practice

* homework or homeschool

My bilingual Kindergarten students have my published and printable books in their book boxes every year as they achieve First Grade reading levels at the end of the year. Perhaps my resources could be helpful for your students, too
