Hello.
I know you must be busy. If you’re anything like me, you already have school on your mind.
My first day is Wednesday of next week and then school starts on July 8th. Why does summer have to end?
Prepping for back-to-school is no small feat, right?
Today, I’m highlighting a few of my BEST-SELLING resources.
These resources aren’t just popular – they’re tried, tested, and approved by teachers like you and me.
Guaranteed to save you time and help you prepare for those first few weeks of school.
Spanish Fluency Practice Pages (Prácticas de fluidez)
This is my number 1 bestseller. I love using it with my bilingual Kindergarten kiddos in 2 different ways:
As a literacy station: I print them and put them in a binder, I add a sandclock and voila! Kids measure their own fluency.
As homework: I send one page home per week starting on week 6 (which is when I introduce the letter Mm syllables), parents write how many syllables or words their child took to read in one minute.
Look what sellers have to say about the Spanish Fluency Practice Pages:
Libby says, “I really liked how passages started with syllables and moved later to stories.“
Olivia says, “My kiddos loved this resource! They were extremely motivated and engaged. Thank you!“
Spanish Decodable Books {Libros decodificables del alfabeto} - Complete Bundle
Poesía en español K-1 {44 poemas} Poetry in Spanish
I created these books to help me teach concepts of print and decoding with my bilingual Kindergarten class. We read one book every 4 days, which is how long I focus on a letter when I teach to read in Kindergarten.
The first five books are for the vowels and they only have words that start with that vowel. There is a sentence that the teacher reads at the top “Con la letra [vowel] empieza la palabra” and the student must point the first letter of the word on each page as they say the words.
The next few books use high frequency words in Spanish and words that can be decoded with the use of the picture cue.
The last books are fully decodable using HFW and syllable knowledge.
All letters have a book, except for letter Ww.
There is also a book for each of the digraphs (ch, ll, rr), and two for each of the sounds of Gg and Cc.
Look what sellers have to say about the Spanish Alphabet Books:
Jorge says, “My students enjoy taking these books home. I love that students can make connections to what letter we are working on.“
Abigail says, “These are great for my students. They have enjoyed reading through them and are easy for them.“
I began looking for poems when I realized the few poetry weeks in our scope and sequence weren’t enough to teach poetry to my bilingual kindergartens. I not only wanted good poetry, but I wanted it to be themed, like the poems I often saw in English.
When I didn’t find any, I decided to create my own. I wrote these in one month the summer of 2020, during the pandemic, and I have used them ever since. I display them every morning to start my shared reading and the students love them. They love our daily poems. We study one per week and by the end of the week, the students have memorized it. Then, I give them a copy of the poem for their Reading Notebook on Friday.
Look what sellers have to say about the Spanish Poetry Passages:
Monica says, “My students use it for the poem of the week and read it daily in poetry notebook.“
Alejandra says, “Thank you for this resource, the poems have been a great addition to my poetry center.“

Pst! All these themed poems are also available as a paperback in FULL color on Amazon. I personally use it every year with my students during shared reading and they LOVE it. Find it on Amazon in paperback or ebook edition: Poemas cortos para niños
Decodable books for the first week of school
In case you couldn’t tell, I value feedback SO much! I love knowing that my resources are making a difference.
Now, go ahead and see what all the buzz is about for yourself. I can’t wait to hear what you think.
P.S. Don’t forget to check out these best-sellers from my store. I’ve got something for everyone.
Take care,
Claudia
